Tønder Møbelværk existed from the mid 1950s until around 1980. The furniture factory was led by Holger Georg Jensen (1927 - 2001), son of the cabinetmaker W. Jensen, who ran a furniture store and machine carpentry in Vestergade 79 in Tønder. Holger Georg Jensen was educated as carpenter and furniture designer. When he took over his father's business, he moved on to Kongevej 17-19, where he produced chairs and coffee tables until 1972. Subsequently he built a new factory on Bygmestervej. In 1980 the factory closed. Source, Tønder Museum.
