Overview
Teak highboard designed by E.W. Bach and produced by Sejling Skabe of Denmark, circa 1960s. A versatile and exceptionally well-organized piece, the highboard features three sliding doors with sculpted teak pulls and a full complement of interior storage configurations — including a mirrored bar compartment — making it equally at home as a sideboard, bar cabinet, or media storage unit.
Design & Materials
The case is constructed in warm teak veneer with beautifully figured grain throughout. Three sliding doors span the upper body, each fitted with a characteristic sculpted pull. The interior is divided into three distinct zones: the left section opens to reveal a single adjustable shelf; the center section provides two adjustable shelves; and the right section features a mirrored glass back with two felt-lined drawers — well-suited for use as a bar or jewelry storage. Below the sliding doors, three full-width drawers run the length of the piece, fitted with the same sculpted bow-tie pulls. The piece rides on slender tapered teak legs connected by a lower stretcher. Drawer construction shows traditional dovetail joinery.
