A classic Ekornes Stressless reclining lounge chair with its matching ottoman, in black leather over the early teak-laminate ring base. The chair swivels on its base and reclines through the signature Stressless mechanism, with a separately adjusting headrest cushion and deeply padded wraparound arms. The cantilevered curved wood supports give it that unmistakable Norwegian profile, and the pairing with the matching footstool makes it a genuine reading-chair setup rather than a decorative one. In good vintage condition throughout.
Design & Materials
Black leather upholstery with channel-stitched and buttoned cushions, bentwood teak-laminate ring base and arm supports, and a steel reclining frame. Adjustable headrest, padded arm pads and a 360-degree swivel. Matching swivel-base ottoman included. No model plate or label is visible on the piece, so no specific Stressless model number is claimed.
Condition Notes
Good vintage condition with an honest patina. Light creasing and surface scuffing to the leather from use, a few small marks to the rear of the backrest and to the ottoman cushion, and light wear to the wood bases. No rips or tears.
