Description

Overview

A tall Danish modern wingback recliner, attributed to Farstrup of Denmark, upholstered in a creamy bouclé. Upright, it holds a straight, supportive posture that is ideal for reading. Pull either of the handles on the sides and the back reclines for a more relaxed position.

Design & Materials

The chair has a high, winged back and a deep upholstered seat on a teak frame with open, sculpted armrests and gently curved legs. A reclining handle sits on each side, and decorative cord ties at the seat rail add a subtle design detail. A matching bouclé headrest pillow hangs from a weighted strap over the top of the back, so it can be moved up or down.

Condition Notes

Good vintage condition. The small wood trim piece on top of one reclining handle is missing. This does not affect how the chair reclines. Please review all photos.
