A handsome matched pair of mid-century modern nightstands by American of Martinsville, one of America's most celebrated furniture manufacturers of the postwar era. These bedside stands feature the company's distinctive geometric diamond-carved drawer fronts — a hallmark of their 1960s walnut case goods line — executed with crisp precision and a warm, rich grain.
Each nightstand is constructed of solid and veneered walnut with two drawers featuring sculpted square-pattern fronts. The tapered legs and dovetail drawer construction confirms the quality of manufacture. The manufacturer's stamp is visible inside the drawer.
Conditions
In good vintage condition with normal wear consistent with age and use.
Measurements
24"W × 16"D × 23.5"H (each stand)
