Description

Overview

A mid-century modern Modus lounge chair designed by Kristian Vedel for Søren Willadsen Møbelfabrik in Denmark in the 1960s. It is low, deep and very comfortable, with the kind of beautifully worn leather that only comes with age. It is in original vintage condition.

Design & Materials

The Modus series is built on a square rosewood frame with slim posts that are capped at the top. A black leather sling forms the back, and two leather slings form the arms, all stretched between the posts. The loose black leather seat cushion rests on a woven mesh base, which is in great shape.

Condition Notes

Original vintage condition. The leather has a well-worn patina, with creasing and wear at the arms and cushion edges, consistent with age and use. Please review all photos.
